Information for Presenters

Below, please find information that can help you prepare the presentation of your contribution to MMM 2017.

Note that during the conference, wireless network will be available for all participants, both Eduroam and a special conference network.

All presenters should show up to their session at least 20 minutes before it starts, in order to meet with the session chair and ensure a smooth session.

Oral Presentation and Special Sessions

Presenters should bring their own laptops. Each podium has connectors for VGA, HDMI and audio. If you have special requirements for audio or video, we recommend to test the setup thoroughly in one of the breaks between sessions.

Oral presentations should be no more than 15 minutes long. Each paper is only allowed 20 minutes in total for the presentation, questions and switching speakers. Session chairs will be asked to strictly enforce time limits.

Exceptions are:

  • In the best paper session, oral presentation may be up to 20 minutes, and each paper is allowed 25 minutes in total.
  • Each VBS team will give a three minute long presentation at the start of the competition.
  • In some special sessions, the organisers are preparing a different format for the session. In these cases, they will instruct authors specially on how to prepare their presentation.

Poster Presentation

The poster may be up to 120 x 90 cm in portrait format (this is slightly larger than A0). If landscape format is used, the poster may not be wider than 100 cm.

The poster boards fit two posters on each side. They are white and hard, and stand two meter tall. Sticky tac and/or tape will be provided on site to fix your posters to the poster boards.
